SENTINEL is organised in five stacked planes. Each plane has a precise role. None can be bypassed.

Edge

Distributed collection at sensor level. Brick Schema normalisation. 24-hour local buffer in case of network outage. Zero certified data loss.

Ingestion

Redpanda 24 bus, Avro schema registry, gateway validation. 110,000 msg/s sustained per building, linear horizontal scale.

Storage & State

TimescaleDB for time series (hot 30 d / cold 7 y Object Lock). Current building state in Brick Schema + Project Haystack — industry-standard semantic models.

Intelligence

Rego (Open Policy Agent) engine for declarative rules. Seven AI services for anomaly detection, risk scoring, and claim pack construction.
